Juni 2023 um 14:18:08 MESZ An: undisclosed-recipients:; Sehr geehrte Lehrende der Akademie, ich untersuche für meine Masterarbeit in Psychologie Einstellungen und Identitätsprozesse Studierender (unter anderem zum Thema Geschlechterrollen). Dafür benötige ich noch Teilnehmer*innen im Alter von 18 bis 29 Jahren für meinen 10-15 Minuten dauernden Fragebogen, wobei ich explizit auch Menschen mit nicht-binären, queeren Geschlechteridentitäten inkludieren möchte. Ich wende mich an Sie, da ich möglichst viele Studierende aus möglichst vielen verschiedenen Studienrichtungen für meine Untersuchung benötige, um eine möglichst große, breite und differenzierte Stichprobe zu erhalten und da meine Rekrutierung trotz verschiedener Herangehensweisen bisher nur teilweise erfolgreich war. Deshalb versuche ich nun auf diesem Weg in den letzten Wochen des Semesters und meiner Erhebung weitere Teilnehmer*innen zu gewinnen, indem ich Sie als Multiplikator*in anschreibe. Both Clementine and Jay are recovering addicts, so they use the NA Step working guide ( another valuable read<https://gssana.org/books/na-step-working-guide.pdf>) - Here, they discuss Step 3, which is about entrusting yourself to the care of a higher power. They discuss the spiritual and social aspects of this notion. Read: Conflict is Not Abuse- Sarah Schulman (look at her fictional work too!) From intimate relationships to global politics, Sarah Schulman observes a continuum: inflated accusations of harm are used to avoid accountability. Illuminating the difference between Conflict and Abuse, Schulman directly addresses our contemporary culture of scapegoating. Wide Rainbow is a free 501c3 non-profit based in NYC that connects contemporary artists with the community. They serve low-income neighborhoods with limited or no access to the arts or arts education. They also have an educational DIY video workshop series on youtube where you can meet artists in their studios and learn about new mediums or techniques for painting, meditation, performance, music, and recording.

Summer is coming

Dears, some of you know and others haven’t heard yet, but Tomash and I are preparing for the summer and how to handle the studio situation during the period when no head of studio is present (August/September), also Tomash’s contract terminates next Friday and Andre’s student assistance terminates as well mid-summer. Thus: if you have immediate questions/require support: let us know asap. We would also like to invite all of you to kindly share with us questions and wishes which might be communicated to the upcoming head of studio, as I would like to communicate those, along with organisational information, to the upcoming chair. hi everyone, we are meeting from 11-14h this Wednesday in 116. I need to be in a Diplom commission at 14h so we had to move our meeting to the morning. If you have NOT booked a presentation slot with Andre yet, you will not be able to present on Wednesday as our time is limited. BUT! If you have not booked a slot with Andre and still want to show, please let him know and we can add another presentation day at the end of June. If you are presenting this week, please be prepared for a maximum 15min presentation including feedback. Work doesn't need to be finished, I just want to briefly touch in with what you have been up to this semester. Parallel thank you to everyone who showed interest, I will let you know by the end of June. Parallel takes place in a new place this year, so I need to make sure how much space we will get. 1-1s If you need a 1-1, I am available until the end of July. Please finalize your forms by this Monday at the absolute latest if you'd like to participate. Ruby already sent out a reminder. Whoever does not have their paperwork ready by Monday cannot be considered. Alisa Margolis from Stuttgart Academy will prepare an alternative program for the students who are not as interested in the PP festival, and I will shortly join the trip as well for moral support. Wed, May 24th - 13:00 End Presentations Part 1 - we will meet in 116 Presenting in class is a prerequisite for this semester's ECTs. This zine explores many related issues including: defining cancel culture, how cancel culture perpetuates harm rather than addressing it, what it means to take responsibility when we've harmed someone, the practice of intervening on violent situations, a trauma informed challenge to the 'believe survivors' narrative, the need for dissent and disagreement on the left, nervous system education, and overcoming people pleasing. This zine takes the work of justice and liberation seriously, values the healing and autonomy of survivors, believes no one is disposable, and seeks to build communities that are not punitive or authoritarian. This is a love letter to left we are building together, toward a more just world where we aren't afraid of our friends. Wed, June 7th- 11:00-14:00 End Presentations Part 2 with dr hab. Paweł Książek, prof. AS Presenting in class is a prerequisite for this semester's ECTs. If this creates an insurmountable issue for you, please let Andre know so we can figure something out. Pawel is an associate professor of painting at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. ( the youngest and most progressive art school in Poland). He will be visiting via the Erasmus Prof Mobility program. Parallel 2023 If you are interested in participating in this year's Parallel ( September 2023), please send a short proposal to me by the end of May ( until May 31st). If I have yet to see your work of yours recently, please also include some visuals, sketches, or images. The Academy + our class budget will cover the participation fee, but the selected students will have to self-organize and self-fund transportation and installation. I will choose 7-8 positions and let you know by mid-June. Priority will be given to students of later years, but everyone is encouraged to apply.
