Ausschreibung Lektor_innenprogramm für Doktorand_innen 2024/25 Nachwuchsförderung zur Erlangung und Weiterentwicklung von Lehrkompetenz für Doktorand_innen

Das Programm richtet sich an Doktorand_innen, deren Dissertation bereits fortgeschritten ist und die eine Berufstätigkeit als Universitätslehrende anstreben. Wissenschaftlich qualifizierte Personen, die keine oder nur geringe Lehrerfahrung besitzen, erwerben im Rahmen dieses zweisemestrigen Programms theoretische und praktische Grundlagen zur wissenschaftlichen Lehre, die Sie befähigen, forschungsgeleitete und studierendenzentrierte Lehre selbständig anzubieten. Die Teilnahme am Lektor_innenprogramm ist mit einem Anstellungsverhältnis an der Akademie auf geringfügiger Basis verbunden, bestehend aus 2d-Stunden im Wintersemester 2024/25 und 2b-Stunden im Sommersemester 2025, und wird nach Ende des Programms mit einem Zertifikat bestätigt.
Hinweis: Das Lektor_innenprogramm ist zeitintensiv und erfordert Anwesenheitspflicht (in Präsenz) bei den vorgeschriebenen Kursen und Meetings (siehe Terminübersicht im Call-System).
Bewerbungsvoraussetzungen
* Doktoratsstudium an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien ab dem 3. Semester (bei Antragstellung) (vor dem 3.Semester nur mit Vorlage einer Bestätigung über Dissertationsfortschritts durch die_den Betreuer_in der Dissertation)
* Fristgerecht (lt. Curriculum innerhalb des ersten Studienjahres) abgegebene Dissertationsvereinbarung bzw. PhD-Projektvereinbarung Für den Fall, dass der_dem Doktorand_in eine Fristerstreckung zur Abgabe der Dissertationsvereinbarung durch die Vizerektorin für Kunst | Lehre genehmigt wurde, wird zusätzlich als Bestätigung auch der Mailnachweis dieser Genehmigung benötigt.
Einreichung
Einreichungen sind ausschließlich über das Einreichsystem der Akademie https://calls.akbild.ac.at/ möglich.
Erforderliche Unterlagen:
* Lebenslauf
* Inskriptionsbestätigung für das aktuelle Semester
* Dissertationsvereinbarung bzw. PhD-Projektvereinbarung (inkl. Exposé)
* Motivationsschreiben
* Zusage der_des Mentors_in, dass bei ihrer_seiner Lehrveranstaltung eine Mitwirkung im 1. Semester des Programms möglich ist und sie_er auch im 2. Semester für die Diskussion allfälliger Fragen zur Verfügung steht.
* Empfehlungsschreiben der_des Betreuers_in der Dissertation (wenn nicht ident mit Mentor_in).
* Vorläufiges Lehrkonzept für die selbständige wissenschaftlich-theoretische Lehre im 2. Semester mit folgenden Angaben: Inhalt / Lehrveranstaltungstyp (möglich sind alle außer "VO"-Vorlesung) / Unterrichtssprache / Erwartete Kenntnisse der Teilnehmer_innen / Ziele (erwartete Lernergebnisse und erworbene Kompetenzen) / Lehr- und Lernmethoden / Empfohlene Fachliteratur
Beurteilungskriterien / Auswahl
* Formale Vollständigkeit der Bewerbungsunterlagen
* Qualität des eingereichten Lehrveranstaltungskonzepts
* Wissenschaftliche Qualität des Dissertationsvorhabens gemäß Exposé (Dissertationsvereinbarung bzw. PhD-Projektvereinbarung)
* Fortschritt der Dissertation gemäß Empfehlungsschreiben
Die Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien strebt eine Erhöhung des Anteils von Frauen an und ersucht nachdrücklich um Bewerbungen von qualifizierten Frauen. Darüber hinaus werden vielversprechende und motivierte, jedoch sozial benachteiligte Doktorand_innen aus Drittstaaten bevorzugt im Programm aufgenommen.

Call Lectureship program for doctoral students 2024/25 Promotion of early-stage researchers for the obtainment and advancement of teaching competencies for doctoral students

The program addresses all doctoral students whose dissertation stage is advanced and who aspire to a career as a university lecturer. In this two-semester program, scientifically qualified persons with little or no teaching experience are gaining theoretical and practical knowledge and competencies needed for research-led and student-centred academic teaching. Participation in this program is combined with marginal employment at the Academy, including 2d-hours in the winter semester 2024/25 and 2b-hours in the summer semester 2025, confirmed with a certificate at the end of the program.
Note: The lectureship program is time-consuming and requires compulsory attendance (in presence) at the prescribed courses and meetings (see the timetable in the call system).
Application requirements
* Doctoral study at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as of the third semester (upon application) (before the third semester only by confirming an advanced dissertation by the supervisor)
* Dissertation Agreement or PhD-Project Agreement handed in on time (within the first year of study according to the curriculum) In the case of a deadline extension for submission of the Dissertation Agreement by the vice-rector for art | teaching, the mail of approval is also needed.

* Curriculum vitae
* Actual confirmation of enrolment
* Dissertation Agreement / PhD Project Agreement (incl. Exposé)
* Letter of motivation
* Confirmation of the mentor that there is the possibility for co-teaching in the 1st semester of the program and that she_he is available to discuss any upcoming questions during the 2nd semester
* Letter of recommendation from the supervisor (if not identical to the mentor)
* Preliminary teaching concept for the independent scientific-theoretical course in the 2nd semester, including the following details: content/type (everything is possible except "VO"-Lecture) / language of instruction / previous knowledge expected / objective (expected results of the study and acquired competences) / teaching and learning method / recommended reading
Assessment criteria / selection
* Formal completeness of the application documents
* Quality of the teaching concept (excluding artistic courses)
* Scientific quality of the dissertation according to the exposé (Dissertation Agreement or PhD Project Agreement)
* Progress of the dissertation according to the letter of recommendation
