Liebe_r Doktoratsstudierende_r im Dr.phil-Studienprogramm,

im Rahmen eines Forschungsprojekts lassen wir derzeit von einem externen Institut, 3s (https://3s.co.at), die Rahmenbedingungen des Doktoratsstudiums der Philosophie an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien untersuchen. Ziel ist, daraus Maßnahmen für die künftige Gestaltung des Doktoratsstudiums abzuleiten.

Wir laden Sie herzlich dazu ein, sich an diesem Projekt zu beteiligen. Voraussichtlich Ende November wird an der Akademie eine Studierendendiskussion (Fokusgruppe) stattfinden, in welcher Ihre bisherigen Erfahrungen und Erwartungshaltungen an das Doktoratsstudium im Zentrum stehen.

Themenbereiche sind u.a.: Beweggründe für ein Doktoratsstudium an der Akademie, Erwartungen, Herausforderungen, Betreuungssituation und Rahmenbedingungen des Doktoratsstudiums. Die Diskussionsrunde mit max. 10 Teilnehmer_innen wird von 3s moderiert und max. 2 Stunden dauern. Diskussionssprache ist Deutsch. Als kleines Dankeschön für die Teilnahme gibt es von der Akademie einen Mensa-Gutschein im Wert von 20 Euro.

Die Studierendendiskussion wird von 3s als Audioaufnahme aufgezeichnet. Dies dient ausschließlich 3s-internen Zwecken für die Erleichterung der späteren Analyse, es erfolgt keine Weitergabe der Audioaufnahme an die Akademie. Der Input aus der Diskussion dient der Entwicklung eines Online-Fragebogens, der späterhin an alle Doktoratsstudierenden ausgeschickt wird. Sämtliche Angaben, die von Ihnen in der Diskussionsrunde gemacht werden, werden absolut anonym und vertraulich behandelt.

Dear doctoral student in the Dr.phil study programme,

as part of a research project, we currently contracted an external institute, 3s (https://3s.co.at), to examine the framework conditions of the doctoral study of philosophy at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. The aim is to derive measures for the future design of the doctoral programme.

We cordially invite you to participate in this project. A student discussion (focus group) will take place at the Academy at the end of November, focusing on your previous experiences and expectations of the doctoral programme.

Topics include: motivation for doctoral study at the Academy, expectations, challenges, supervision situation and general conditions of doctoral studies. The discussion round with a maximum of 10 participants will be moderated by 3s and will last a maximum of 2 hours. The discussion language is German. As a small thank you for participating, the Academy will provide you with a canteen voucher worth 20 euros.

The student discussion will be audio recorded by 3s. This is for internal 3s purposes only to facilitate later analysis; the audio recording will not be shared with the Academy. The input from the discussion will be used to develop an online questionnaire that will later be sent out to all doctoral students. All information provided by you in the discussion round will be treated absolutely anonymously and confidentially.
