Dear colleagues,


Hope you all had a nice beginning of Winter Semester 2023-4.

Here follows the protocol of what was discussed in our jour fix from the October 11th 2023.


Re-schedule of our jour fixes from November 8th: 

Wednesdays from 16:00 till 19:00.


For the next jour fixes: if you are willing to share your work, please contact us so we can organise a list of students that would present their works - contact me and Ruby. It would be two students per jour fix.


Committees and group work:

We should organise two committees that will organise and take care of:


For those that were not present, we agreed on creating on using a wall in the room 116 to exhibit/hang our works or something else that you think it is important to share, not only the students from the students but open for all, specially those who are not so active in the studio.

It was also discussed the making of a studio party, where we can have also performances, exhibition of students works. This party could be a nice way to gather funds for the class, and create a support for the students in need of assistance from our studio.

Our colleague Alex would like to organise and curate an exhibition about life in Palestine before 1948, it would be super nice for those interested to contact us or Alex directly to help organise this exhibition.

Reading Groups:

There will be organised also reading groups, to discuss political struggles from the world nowadays, but also other subjects that could be interesting to the class. Please send books suggestions/recommendations to brought to these readings, and also suggestion of themes and subjects are welcome.

Softwares suggestions: If you know any programs and softwares that can make life easier for our neurodivergent colleagues to follow the reading, in and outside of the group readings, it would be more than welcome! :)

Espero que todos hayan tenido un buen comienzo del Semestre de Invierno 2023-4.
Aquí sigue el protocolo de lo que se discutió en nuestro jour fix del 11 de octubre de 2023.

Reprogramación de nuestros jour fixes a partir del 8 de noviembre: 
Miércoles de 16:00 a 19:00.

Para los próximos jour fixes: si estás dispuesto a compartir tu trabajo, ponte en contacto con nosotros para que podamos organizar una lista de estudiantes que presentarían sus trabajos - ponte en contacto conmigo y con Ruby. Serían dos estudiantes por jour fix.

Comités y trabajo en grupo:
Deberíamos organizar dos comités que organicen y se encarguen de:


Para los que no estuvieron presentes, se acordó crear un muro en la sala 116 para exponer/colgar nuestras obras o cualquier otra cosa que se crea importante compartir, no solo con los alumnos sino abierto para todos, especialmente los que no son tan activos en el estudio.

También se discutió la realización de una fiesta en el estudio, donde podemos tener también actuaciones, exposición de obras de los estudiantes. Esta fiesta podría ser una buena manera de recaudar fondos para la clase, y crear un apoyo para los estudiantes que necesitan ayuda de nuestro estudio.

A nuestro colega Alex le gustaría organizar y comisariar una exposición sobre la vida en Palestina antes de 1948, sería estupendo que los interesados se pusieran en contacto con nosotros o con Alex directamente para ayudar a organizar esta exposición.

Grupos de lectura:

Se organizarán también grupos de lectura, para discutir las luchas políticas del mundo de hoy, pero también otros temas que podrían ser interesantes para la clase. Por favor, envíanos sugerencias o recomendaciones de libros para estos grupos de lectura, así como sugerencias de temas.

Sugerencias de softwares: Si conoces algún programa o software que pueda facilitar a nuestros compañeros neurodivergentes el seguimiento de la lectura, dentro y fuera de las lecturas en grupo, ¡será más que bienvenido! :)
