# Akademie der bildenden Kunste Wien
## Newsletter Kunst und Forschung, Juni 2024
--- | | >english version below Liebe Kolleg_innen, liebe Alumni_ae, rechtzeitig zum Sommerstart wollen wir wieder uber aktuelle Ausschreibungen und Wettbewerbe informieren. Fur das FWF-Programm PEEK findet am 26. Juni eine [virtuelle Informationsveranstaltung][2] statt. Diese bietet eine gute Gelegenheit sich mit den Antragsspezifika aus Sicht des FWF vertraut zu machen. Mit 16. Juli ist die letzte Deadline fur die auslaufenden FWF-Programme Elise Richter und Elise Richter PEEK. Fur das neue Programm Astra werden die Antragsrichtlinien Anfang des Sommers erwartet, die erste Einreichfrist dafur ist der 3. Oktober. In Erinnerung rufen mochten wir sehr gerne den neuen [Prize for Best Research Catalogue Exposition 2023/2024 of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna][3] (Deadline: 3. Oktober). Dieser Preis zeichnet hervorragende Beitrage im Research Catalogue (sog. RC Expositions) von (ehemaligen) Mitarbeiter_innen und Studierenden der Akademie der bildenden Kunste Wien aus. Bei Fragen dazu wenden Sie sich sehr gerne an [kfs@akbild.ac.at][4]. Besonders hinweisen wollen wir abschließend auf die [BMKOES Startstipendien fur Bildende Kunst, Design, Fotografie und Medienkunst][5]. Die Startstipendien stellen eine Anerkennung und Forderung fur das Schaffen junger Kunstler_innen dar. Sie sollen die kunstlerische Entwicklung vorantreiben und den Einstieg in die osterreichische und internationale Kunstszene erleichtern. ### Doc-News
Liebe Doktorand_innen, gerne mochten wir euch uber die aktuellen Aktivitaten und Ausschreibungen des Doktoratszentrums sowie verschiedene bevorstehende Veranstaltungen informieren. Wir freuen uns, euch im Juni gleich zu drei Rigorosen (Doktorat der technischen Wissenschaften, Architektur) und drei Defensiones (Doktorat der Philosophie) einladen zu durfen. Neben den [Veranstaltungen][48] fur Doktorand_innen - wir planen gerade das Programm fur das Wintersemester - stehen euch weiterhin auch unsere [Forderungen][49] zur Verfugung. Der Call fur das Dissertationsstipendium fur die Abschlussphase 2024/25 ist jetzt [online][50]. Wir freuen uns, euch mitteilen zu durfen, dass das Stipendium mit der aktuellen Ausschreibung von € 1.000,- pro Monat (6 Monate) auf € 1.200,- pro Monat (6 Monate) erhoht wird. Weiter unten findet ihr außerdem auch andere Forderungen und Angebote fur Doktorand_innen. Hinweisen mochten wir auf eine Informationsveranstaltung der ÖAW am 21. Juni, in der es um die ÖAW-DOC-Stipendien gehen wird (Anmeldung unter [stipref@oeaw.ac.at][51]). Fur Fragen rund um das Doktoratsstudium, schaut euch gerne unser [Handbook][52] an oder meldet euch per E-Mail unter [doktoratszentrum@akbild.ac.at][53]. Fur diejenigen, die noch keine Dissertationsvereinbarung abgegeben haben: Bitte denkt daran, dies innerhalb der festgelegten Frist, spatestens ein Jahr nach der Zulassung, zu tun. Fur diejenigen, die kurz vor der Abgabe ihrer Dissertation stehen, haben wir ein [Handout][54] mit einer Schritt-fur-Schritt-Anleitung von der Einreichung der Dissertation bis zur Verteidigung zusammengestellt.
