Als
einziger ländlicher Raum in Spanien wird Genalguacil vom 14. bis 21. April Gastgeber dieses Festivals sein, das Film und Küche mit lokalem Wissen und Ressourcen verbindet
Die
Gemeinde Genalguacil nimmt mit ihrem Internationalen Labor für ländliche Innovation an der zweiten Ausgabe des Neuen Europäischen Bauhauses (NEB) teil. Obwohl die Veranstaltung direkt in Brüssel stattfindet, ist das Museumsdorf die einzige Satellitenveranstaltung
in einer ländlichen Region Spaniens unter dem Titel "Futures are rural". Vom 14. bis zum 21. April wird es zu einem Ort der Koproduktion, an dem Film und lokale Gastronomie die Hauptrolle spielen, basierend auf den Erfahrungen und dem Wissen der Menschen vor
Ort.
Eine
Woche lang wird ein Kollektiv aus Künstlern, Filmemachern, Landwirten, Forschern, politischen Entscheidungsträgern, Jugendlichen und Restaurantbesitzern zusammenarbeiten, um ein gemeinsames Essen mit lokalen Ressourcen zu kreieren. Zusätzlich zu den Filmvorführungen
in verschiedenen Teilen des Dorfes während der Veranstaltung wird es dezentrale Praktiken geben, um anderen ländlichen Regionen mitzuteilen, was passiert: Live-TV-Übertragungen und Radio-Podcasts. Stereotypen in Frage stellen und vom ländlichen Raum aus innovativ
sein.
Im
Mittelpunkt des Wochenendes steht eine Performance der Künstler Patricio Sota und Irene Lucas von der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien, die die zentrale Aktivität des Festivals darstellt. Sie werden live im Sonnenlicht mit Produkten kochen, die sie in
der natürlichen Umgebung der Gemeinde gesammelt haben, um lokale Rezepte zu kreieren, die von den Einwohnern geteilt werden. Dies wird von Prerna Bishnoi und Gustav Gunvaldsen, Fachleuten der Norwegischen Universität für Wissenschaft und Technologie (NTNU),
aufgezeichnet und dokumentiert, ebenso wie die Feldarbeit und die Recherchen, die sie Tage zuvor durchführen werden. Gemeinsam mit ihnen beteiligen sich die jungen Dorfbewohner Nerea und Álvaro Holgado an der audiovisuellen Arbeit, sowohl bei der Aufnahme
als auch beim Schnitt, und stellen ihre Erfahrungen und ihr Wissen zur Verfügung. So entsteht eine neue Art des Wissensaustauschs und der gemeinsamen Kreativität. Ein Film- und Essensfestival, das das Filmemachen mit der Herstellung von Lebensmitteln kombiniert,
um die Verbindung zum Erbe und zur Natur durch Kunst und Kultur zu erneuern.

Das
Kulturprojekt Genalguacil Pueblo Museo feiert 30 Jahre, in denen es den Geist der NEB teilt und ihre Werte präsentiert: schön, gemeinsam und nachhaltig. Die Feier dieses Festivals dient als Sprungbrett, um die Arbeit der territorialen Innovationsprojekte zu
verbreiten, die von Genalguacil mit Unterstützung des Ministeriums für den ökologischen Wandel und die demografische Herausforderung (MITECO) durchgeführt werden. LAB Genalguacil arbeitet eng mit europäischen Partnern zusammen, die sich für die wichtige Rolle
von Kunst, Kreativität, Kultur und Kulturerbe im komplexen ökologischen, digitalen und sozialen Wandel und im Kampf für Gerechtigkeit, Vielfalt, Gleichheit und Wohlstand einsetzen.
Das
Ziel der Europäischen Union ist Klimaneutralität, weshalb vor fünf Jahren der Europäische Grüne Pakt ins Leben gerufen wurde. Um zu seiner Umsetzung beizutragen, hat die Europäische Kommission das Neue Europäische Bauhaus (NEB) ins Leben gerufen, um Ideen
zu erforschen, die dringlichsten Bedürfnisse und Herausforderungen zu ermitteln und die Akteure zu vernetzen. In diesem Jahr findet das Festival zum zweiten Mal in Brüssel statt, mit Satellitenveranstaltungen in anderen Teilen Europas, wie zum Beispiel in
Genalguacil. Die Veranstaltung wird sich auf das Thema "Ressourcen für alle" konzentrieren und Unterthemen wie Unterkünfte, Lebensräume, Land und Wasser, Mode und menschliches Wohlbefinden im Lichte der sich verändernden Umwelt untersuchen.

The
municipality of Genalguacil, through its International Rural Innovation Laboratory, is taking part in the second edition of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). Although the direct celebration of the event takes place in Brussels, the Museum Village stands as the
only satellite event in a rural area of Spain under the title 'Futures are rural'. From 14 to 21 April, it will become a space for co-production where film and local gastronomy will be the protagonists, based on the experiences and knowledge of the local people.
Throughout
the week, a collective of artists, filmmakers, farmers, researchers, policy makers, local youth and local restaurant owners, among others, will cooperate to put together a shared meal, using local resources. In addition to screenings in different parts of
the village during the event, there will be decentralised practices to share with other rural regions what is happening: live TV broadcasting and radio podcasting. Challenging stereotypes and innovating from the rural.
The
weekend will see a performance by artists Patricio Sota and Irene Lucas from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, which will mark the central activity of the festival. They will cook live in the sunlight with products collected from the natural environment
of the municipality, in order to create local recipes shared by the local residents. This will be recorded and documented by Prerna Bishnoi and Gustav Gunvaldsen, professionals from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), as well as the
fieldwork and research they will carry out days before. Together with them, the young villagers Nerea and Álvaro Holgado participate in the audiovisual work, both recording and editing, providing experience and training. This translates into a new way of exchanging
knowledge and sharing creativity. A film and food festival, combining filmmaking with food making as ways of renewing connections with heritage and nature through art and culture.

The
cultural project Genalguacil Pueblo Museo celebrates 30 years sharing the spirit of the NEB and showcasing its values: beautiful, together and sustainable. The celebration of this festival serves as a springboard to disseminate the work of the territorial
innovation projects led by Genalguacil with the support of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). LAB Genalguacil works closely with European partners committed to the important role of arts, creativity, culture and
heritage in the complex ecological, digital and social transition, and in the fight for justice, diversity, equity and well-being.
The
European Union's goal is climate neutrality, which is why the European Green Pact was launched five years ago. To contribute to its implementation, the European Commission created the New European Bauhaus (NEB) to explore ideas, identify the most pressing
needs and challenges, and connect stakeholders. This year marks the second edition of the festival which will take place in Brussels with satellite events to be held in other parts of Europe, such as Genalguacil. The event will focus on the theme "Resources
for all" exploring sub-themes such as shelter, living environments, land and water, fashion and human well-being in the light of the changing environment.
