Sichtbarmachung von Wahlungerechtigkeit

In Wien sind aktuell 33,4% der Menschen im wahlfähigen Alter nicht wahlberechtigt!

Anlässlich der Nationalratswahl 2024 in Österreich wollen wir* an der Akademie auf das Thema der wachsenden Wahlungerechtigkeit und das damit verbundene Demokratiedefizit hinweisen. 

Die Akademie schließt sich daher dem Projekt Pass Egal Wahl von SOS Mitmensch an.

Die Pass Egal Wahl ist ein Projekt zur Thematisierung des Wahlauschlusses, und bietet die Möglichkeit der Selbstermächtigung für nicht wahlberechtigte Personen, sowie die Förderung solidarischer Handlungen bei Personen mit österreichischer Staatsbürgerschaft. Hier können alle ihre Stimme abgeben, unabhängig von der Herkunft und österreichischen Wahlberechtigung.

Am Montag 23. und Dienstag 24. September 2024 wird die Pass Egal Wahl in der Aula der Akademie stattfinden.

Für die Bewerbung dieser Wahl wird ein Bildmotiv gesucht. Das Bildmotiv soll Wahlungerechtigkeit und Demokratiedefizit in Österreich durch statistische Daten illustrieren.

Es soll eine einfache grafische Sprache haben und sich an den ISOTYPE* Piktogrammen der Wiener Methode der Bildstatistik von Otto Neurath/Gerd Arntz anlehnen.

Visualization of Electoral Injustice

In Vienna, 33.4% of people of voting age are currently not entitled to vote!

On the occasion of the 2024 National Council elections in Austria, we* at the Academy want to draw attention to the issue of growing electoral injustice and the associated democratic deficit. 

The Academy is therefore joining SOS Mitmensch's Pass Egal Wahl project.

The Pass Egal Wahl (translated no-matter-what-pass election) is a project to address the issue of voter exclusion and offers the possibility of self-empowerment for people who are not entitled to vote, as well as the promotion of solidarity among people with Austrian citizenship. Here, everyone can cast their vote, regardless of their origin and Austrian eligibility to vote.

The Pass Egal Wahl will take place on Monday 23^rd and Tuesday 24^th of September in the Academy's Aula at Schillerplatz.

We are looking for an image motif to promote this election.

The motif should illustrate electoral injustice and the democratic deficit in Austria using statistical data.
