The Volkstheater has invited EsRAP on September 25 as part of the series *"THREE DAYS FOR AUSTRIA. The ultimate celebration of democracy (before it's too late!)"* to tell their story. After all, the national elections are just around the corner, and Austria faces the risk of a majority of political forces that see being different primarily as a disturbance to a fantasized, homogeneous national body, thus institutionalizing exclusion. EsRAP’s story is a different one—a story that stands for diversity in this country.

 

The two siblings will present a completely new program in the evening, together with Marino Formenti, the Italian virtuoso pianist living in Vienna, who has been stirring up the classical scene for years with his unorthodox performances and has even been praised by the Los Angeles Times as the Glenn Gould of the 21st century. And, of course, the EsRAP classics cannot be missed. Their old companion DJ King will also be there, along with a few surprise guests.

Das Volkstheater hat EsRAP eingeladen am 25. September im Rahmen der Reihe "DREI TAGE FÜR ÖSTERREICH. Ultimative Feier der Demokratie (bevor's zu spät ist!)" ihre Geschichte zu erzählen. Schließlich stehen die Nationaltratswahlen unmittelbar bevor und es droht dem Lande Österreich eine Mehrheit von politischen Kräften, die das Anderssein vor allem als Störung eines fantasierten einheitlichen Volkskörpers betrachten und damit Ausgrenzung institutionalisieren. Die Geschichte von EsRAP ist eine andere. Eine die für die Vielfalt in diesem Lande steht.

Die beiden Geschwister präsentieren am Abend ein komplett neues Programm mit dem in Wien lebenden italienischen virtuosen Pianisten Marino Formenti, der seinerseits in der Klassikszene mit seinen unorthodoxen Auftritten seit Jahren für Wirbel sorgt und dafür schon von der Los Angeles Times als Glenn Gould des 21. Jahrhunderts gepriesen wurde. Und natürlich dürfen dabei aber auch nicht die EsRAP Klassiker fehlen. Der alte Weggefährte DJ King muss deshalb natürlich auch dabei sein wie ein paar Überraschungsgäste.
