Dear members of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, dear colleagues,
As part of the climate-neutral university programme, the Academy is drawing up a climate balance sheet. An important factor here is mobility to the place of work or study. The survey of this mobility is being carried out together with HERRY Consult GmbH.
The data collected will be used to create the university's first greenhouse gas balance sheet.
Answering the questionnaire is anonymous and will only take about 10 minutes. Please take part and support this important project!

re/vision fashion_feminist pleasure and radical knowledge is dedicated to a multi-perspective approach of critical fashion knowledge that interrelates and connects theory and practice. it will deepen the scope of “intellectual activism and critical art and design projects team[ing] up to decolonize, politicize and democratize fashion research” (gaugele/titton, 2022). The “feast of conversations” format already hints towards a playful and experimental space for critical thinking and doing. therefore, we crafted an international get-together of prestigious theoretical and practical positions from south africa via europe to the united states. in the spirit of the entangled umbrella topics re/vision fashion - feminist pleasure - radical knowledge, we will explore questions of contemporary ideas in fashion design and research in the context of social justice and questions of decolonization and migration in fashion in research and design including a contemporary mediation concept of design.
additionally, the event provides art conversations, too. You are invited to listen to the affects of Black and queer poetry as well as participate in radical intersectional feminist interventions in ai-algorithms.

A workshop with Sara Hassan
The workshop is for individuals who identify as BIPoC.
Thursday, May 23rd, 10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
Room DG18 (Top Floor), building of the institute for Education in the Arts, Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse 3, 1070 Wien
Power abuse is not a single-issue problem. Marginalized people disproportionately become targets of harassment, sexual and otherwise, and not by accident. How do various forms of oppression interact here? How does racism, sexism, queerphobia and other forms of discrimination work together to effectively push people out of systems? How are these dynamics reflected in perpetrators' strategies, bystander actions, and systemic patterns? In this workshop, we will work through a tailored case study from a BIPOC perspective to identify the escalation levels of harassment and look at how various discriminatory dynamics come into play when people become targets. How and where does power abuse start, how can we identify early warning signs and develop an intersectional understanding of power abuse and harassment?
This is an interactive workshop with practical examples. We would like to invite you to send specific case studies, red flags/warning signs, or patterns that you have noticed to the workshop leader: kontakt(a)sarahassan.at<mailto:kontakt@sarahassan.at>. All cases will be treated completely confidentially, only patterns will be used to illustrate the specific case study.

[cid:image006.png@01DAAB95.C5D61770]Sara Hassan, writer, moderator, and keynote speaker, has been working on the topic of abuse of power and harassment since 2015. After many years of international work in the field of political communication (including in the EU Parliament), the co-author of the book Grauzonen gibt es nicht (It’s not that grey<https://periodbrussels.eu/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Its-not-that-Grey_Peri…>) gives lectures and holds workshops on how to spot early warning signs of power abuse. After completing an interdisciplinary Master's degree at New York University as a Fulbright-Austria scholar, Sara now works throughout Europe as an expert on the topic of abuse of power.
